Object of the Fund
To support voluntary and community sector organisations deliver projects that improve the lives of people living in North East Lincolnshire.
听About the Grants
- We aim to distribute approximately 拢40,000 a year.
- Grants may be from 拢200 to 拢2,500.
- A shorter application form is available for bids up to 拢500.
- Groups can only hold one grant at any one time.
- Closing dates on 1 January and 1 June each year.
- Payments are normally made in advance.
- Decisions notified within 6-8 weeks of closing date.
- All funds should be spent within a year of receipt unless otherwise agreed.
- Funding will be prioritised for smaller grassroots organisations. As such, organisations with a turnover of more than 拢1M are not eligible to apply.
Eligibility/Supporting documentation
Not for profit community groups, registered charities, social enterprises, sports organisations etc. All applicants should have/submit:
- Constitution/Governing document (advice available)
- A local management board or committee
- A bank or building society account in the organisation鈥檚 name with at least two signatories who are not related or living in the same household
- Income and Expenditure Account (or last three months Bank Statements, if a new group)
- Evidence that the balance of project costs is in place
- Other relevant policies and procedures (safeguarding policy, equal opportunities etc)
- Any additional information.
Projects from School PTA鈥檚, Churches and Parish Councils may also be considered however, The Humber Gateway Community Fund is not meant to replace government or other statutory funding. 听For example, an application to refurbish a kitchen in the church hall, that will have a wider community benefit or to print the programme for a community event, would be considered. An application to cover the general maintenance costs of a school, church or parish building would not be accepted.
National or Regional organisations are unlikely to receive funding.
What can be funded:
Generally, grants are available for practical or educational projects that contribute to the following themes:
- Community Cohesion: Diversionary activities for young, intergenerational projects, arts, culture and heritage projects and facilities that improve wellbeing and help strengthen the community.
- Young People: Provision of activities or facilities and opportunities, workshops, educational outings (but not overseas travel), equipment, kit and resources to deliver projects.
- Community Facilities: Support for meeting places including running costs (community centres, village halls, playing fields) and projects to enhance or improve energy efficiency.
- Older People: Integration projects; projects tackling isolation, loneliness and dementia, volunteer costs, carer sitter and companionship.
What cannot be funded:
- Projects promoting religious or political beliefs;
- Individuals;
- Statutory provision
- Animal welfare
- General contributions to large appeals
- Grant making bodies applying for funding to redistribute to others
- Retrospective expenditure or unsustainable deficits or loans

听Grant management
The grant scheme is managed by the 91传媒 CIO (charity number 1196448). The Humber Gateway Community Fund operates under the umbrella of the Foundation and is overseen by representative(s) from the Foundation, RWE and the community. The Panel meets twice a year to consider grant applications.
91传媒 will use details submitted internally for administration purposes. As some of the information may be classified as 鈥減ersonal data鈥 it will be processed in accordance with the rights and obligations of the Data Protection Act 2018.
